Adelaide defender Tom Doedee will undergo precautionary scans after tightness in his right quad saw him leave training early on Thursday morning.
The 21-year-old completed the warm-up and a group kicking drill before seeking advice from the Club’s medical staff and heading inside the clubrooms.
“Tom will have a precautionary scan, that’s just something that bobbed up today,” Crows midfielder David Mackay said.
“This time of the pre-season, we’ve got a period of time before we start playing, it’s really just taking every precaution, making sure we’re not pushing everything, so Tom will have the scan done and we’ll conservatively manage that and hopefully it’s nothing too major.
“(It was) a bit of tightness and (we’re taking) no risk and every precaution and he should be fine.”
Mackay said there were benefits to training in 32-degree heat.
“These conditions, although they are really difficult, it does provide a great platform for us,” Mackay said.
“We certainly get bang for our buck when we train in these conditions.
“The boys are ticking over really well.”
