The Australian Football League is a national sporting competition throughout Australia. The league started as the Victorian Football League in 1897. Throughout the course of history, more and more teams started playing inter-state and the name of the game was officially changed to the Australian Football League in 1990. Now, there are 18 teams playing in the league, representing five of the six states. There are sporting grounds in every state and territory.
The success of the league is much accredited to the sponsors for each AFL team. Sponsoring the whole league include companies such as Holden, Coca-Cola, Toyota, and Carlton & United Breweries. These sponsors contribute a lot to the fundraising and advertising of the league. Each time has their individual sponsors as well.
For the Adelaide Crows, their major partner is Toyota who have been involved with the club since 1991. Amongst the platinum partners are Domain, Foodland, and ISC. Channel 7 and Hertz Car Rental are included in their official partners.
