West Coast’s Nic Naitanui looking for action

Nic Naitanui of the West Coast Eagles said he wants to play as much as he possibly can during the NAB Challenge Series and his hoping to line up against the AFL Indigenous All Stars in Perth on February 20th. Naitanui recently attended a press conference at Perth’s Medibank Stadium with Michael Walters of Fremantle where they were launching the West Coast vs All Stars match. Naitanui, an All Australian in 2012, said he’s looking forward to the 2015 season as he’s in top shape and he also has a point to prove. This could be a good sign for fans who are backing West Coast with their BetEasy AFL Grand Final wager.

Naitanui admitted that he hasn’t spoken with the coaching staff at West Coast as of yet, but he wants to be involved in as much football action as he can during the preseason. He remarked,

“We haven’t really sat down and gone through that yet. But our aim is to get through as much game time in as possible. But I guess to a certain extent I have to be smart about it. The real reason we play is for round one and then on. However many games I need is what I look forward to.”

The 24-year-old stated that he’s especially hopeful to participate in the game against the AFL Indigenous as he feels it’s the perfect way to prepare for the Eagles first NAB Challenge match which takes place on Friday, February 27 against Carlton. Fans can back both the Eagles and Carlton via their BetEasy AFL Grand Final bet. He also admitted that he’d love to play on the same field as some of his close friends. “I also look forward to playing alongside some of the boys I played with at WAFL level such as Michael Walters, Lewis Jetta of the Sydney Swans and Chris Yarran of Carlton.”

The West Coast star said he can’t wait to be on the oval against all of his mates and hopes he’s selected to start the game. Fans can back their favourite team in the BetEasy AFL Grand Final wager and check out the current odds.
