Melbourne Demons

Melbourne Demons Logo & Guernsey AFL

The Melbourne Football Club is the oldest club in the Australian Football League. Back in 1858 Tom Wills, captain of the Victorian cricket team, called for a formation of a football club and Melbourne Football Club was created in may 1859. In 2008, the club celebrated its 150th year. As part of these celebrations, each player, or their closest relative if they had passed on, were presented with an official 150 heroes Medallion.

The Melbourne Demons made history once again in 2017 by creating a women’s side to be part of the inaugural preseason. The club mascot, a devil with a trident and horns, even had its name changed to Daisy after the captain of the women’s side.
